- Rock Soft has announced the launch of ShowTime – Alarm Clock & Ambient Noise the modern alarm clock app for iPhone and iPod touch. Unlike other Alarm Clock apps, Show Time has the all the features you’d want and does it with style. With 50+ clock themes and variations you don’t have to keep staring at the same digital alarm clock your parents had on their night stand. - Independent developer, Scott Gruber, has released ShapeEffects Lite 1.0, a free version of their composite drawing app for iPad devices. ShapeEffects Lite offers a very different and exciting way in creating composite works of art from a list of 13 pre-defined shapes and a large variety of colors. You also have control over the translucency of the shapes fill color and border color, independently. When done, you can take a snapshot of your masterpiece that will put your art in the Photos app.
- Hairy Monster Studios has released Save Betsy 1.0, their latest game for iPhone and iPod touch. Save Betsy is best described as Doodle Jump for meat lovers. The game challenges players to help Betsy the cow escape from the Vegan Meat Co. by jumping up on stationary, moving and breakable platforms that become harder and harder to navigate as the player gets higher. Save Betsy has built in Facebook integration so you can brag about your scores along with local and global leader boards.
- Renkara Media Group has announced iComedian Best Bar Jokes v1.0 for the iPhone and iPod touch. Best Bar Jokes with Audio is the first in the iComedian series of joke collections with professionally recorded audio presentations of each joke. When appropriate, joke-specific background music and laugh tracks are included also to provide a more immersive comedy club-like experience. Only the funniest jokes are included in each collection.
- The iPhone action RPG Across Age is on sale for $2.99 (regularly $5.99) for a limited time.

- Redbot Software Inc, has announced AppMockup: Design Layout Mockup Maker for iPhone and iPod touch. AppMockUp lets the user lay out each screen of a new app idea. Then user can virtually run the idea as if it were a completed app, and without any programming knowledge. The mockups can be used to test a variety of designs for a single idea, or use it to show clients or a programming team. AppMockup is now on sale at a dramatically reduced price.
- SEGA has announced a surprise, week-long back to school SEGA sale, lowering prices for their iPhone and iPad titles so students (and teachers) everywhere can indulge in some classic gaming fun between classes. Running from now until September 1st, Sega fans can get their hands on Sonic, Ecco, Golden Axe, and more for up to 67% off the normal price.
- Sideways recently released the Diana Curran iPad app as a first example of its coffee table publishing platform. The new version of the app, based on suggestions from Newsy app users, is built specifically to maximize the features of the Apple iPad.
