Google Voice Actions search for Android 2.2 Froyo launched

Today Google announced Voice Actions for Android. The new application lets users search and interact with their Android phones by speaking. Users can send text messages by speaking “send text to [Todd] [message]” for example, or listen to music by speaking “listen to [artist/song/album].” It works with everything from directions, to calling businesses and contacts, viewing maps, visiting websites, writing notes, writing emails, and of course, searching Google. Google Actions is available for Android 2.2 Froyo devices, and is available on Google’s Mobile website.
