Palm Pixi Plus hits Vodafone Spain on May 10, Pre Plus conspicuously missing

Wherever the Pre goes, the Pixi typically likes to follow, which makes it pretty interesting to see that Vodafone Spain will be launching Palm’s new GSM flavor of the Pixi Plus on the 10th of this month without any sign of its Pre Plus sibling. That’s a marked departure from the line Vodafone and O2 have both been taking in other markets, so it makes you wonder: does Vodafone think that the Pre Plus won’t sell well here (it already offers the Pre), is there some firmware issue holding back the localized version, or is there some other mysterious conspiracy brewing altogether? At any rate, follow the break for Palm’s press release.

iPhone 4G Rumoured to Sport 5 Megapixel Camera; New Concept Available

The folks of iSpazio have come across some info confirming that the iPhone 4G will sport a 5 megapixel camera made by LG Innotek, confirmed by an official source, it seems. Also, we’ve found out that there’s a new concept of the phone roaming on the web, courtesy of the designer Seraphan.

This iPhone 4G concept is a 3D piece of work based on the prototype lost by an Apple employee in a bar in March. The handset packs 64GB of internal memory, a squared design, separate volume buttons, a front camera and a smaller touch display.

Also, the camera at the back uses a flash and most likely supports high quality video capture.

Droid Incredible’s mysterious OTA update actually fixes Exchange bug

Saturday afternoon, reports came in that Verizon’s new Droid Incredible had already received its first OTA update. Nobody knew quite what it did and few even received it, but some figured it probably fixed the smattering of random reboots and radio bugs experienced by some early adopters. We reached out to Verizon on the matter, and we’re afraid to say that’s not the case — the new 1.22.605.2 CL161494 software build merely fixes a bug in Microsoft Exchange support. As such, you’ll only see the update if you’ve got a corporate handset, and those who do can expect their carbon-copy email fields (which would apparently fill with unintended addresses beforehand) to be fixed sometime around May 6th. On the off-chance that fix magically transforms your mobile world, feel free to let us know in comments. Full statement after the break.
